What "We noticed some unusual activity" means on Google Flow

Google Flow sometimes stops a generation with the message "We noticed some unusual activity". It is a protective check from Google, not a bug in your prompt. Here is what usually causes it and how to get going again safely.

What the message means

The message comes from Google's own systems. It appears when activity from your account, browser or network looks different from normal use, most often because a lot is happening very quickly. Google doesn't publish the exact limits, and they can change, so the safest approach is to slow down rather than to look for a way around it.

Common causes

  • Many generations in a short time, especially several prompts submitted at once.
  • Several Flow tabs or devices generating with the same account at the same time.
  • A VPN, proxy or busy shared network (office, school or public Wi-Fi).
  • A new device or location, or a sign-in Google wants to double-check.
  • Reaching your plan's limits or running low on Flow credits.

How to fix it

  1. Stop what is running. If you use AutoPrompt Flow, press Stop in the side panel.
  2. Take a break. Give it some time before trying again; often a short pause is enough.
  3. Close extra Flow tabs and stop generating on other devices with the same account.
  4. Turn off your VPN or proxy, or switch to your normal network.
  5. Reload Flow and sign in again if Google asks you to confirm it's you.
  6. Check your Flow plan and credits in your Flow account.
  7. Resume gently. Run one prompt at a time with a longer pause between prompts, and split very large batches across the day.
Safe settings in AutoPrompt Flow: in Settings → Speed & retries, set Prompts at the same time to 1, raise Delay min and Delay max (for example 10 and 30 seconds), and keep Max retries low.

What not to do

Don't try to dodge the check by switching VPNs, rotating accounts or hiding automation. That goes against Google's terms and can put your account at risk. AutoPrompt Flow doesn't bypass Google's limits either: it runs in your own browser and account, the same way you would, and simply saves you the clicking.

Still seeing it?

If the message keeps coming back after a long break and normal, slow use, the cause may be on Google's side. Use the help and feedback options inside Flow to contact Google.

FAQ

Does "We noticed some unusual activity" mean my Google account is banned?

No. The message is a protective check, and it is usually temporary. If Google restricts an account it says so separately. Stop, take a break and resume with slower activity.

Can a Chrome extension cause the unusual activity message?

Any very fast activity can, whether by hand or with a tool. With AutoPrompt Flow, run one prompt at a time with a pause between prompts. The extension doesn't hide from or get around Google's checks.

How long does the unusual activity block last on Google Flow?

Google doesn't publish a fixed time. Often a short pause is enough; if not, wait longer, close extra tabs, turn off any VPN and try again with smaller, slower batches.
