1. Information stored on your device
The extension has no user accounts and we do not run any server for it. Everything it remembers is saved locally with Chrome's extension storage (chrome.storage.local) on your computer. It is not synced to your Google account and is not sent to us.
| Data | Where it is kept | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Your settings (mode, model, aspect ratio, delays, download folder, file naming, and similar options) | chrome.storage.local | So your setup is still there next time you open the side panel. |
| The prompt text in the side panel | chrome.storage.local | So a long prompt list is not lost if you close the panel. |
| Character and voice names you sync from your Flow account | chrome.storage.local | So the extension can pick the right character or voice for each prompt. |
| Custom page selectors (optional, advanced) | chrome.storage.local | So the extension can keep working if the Flow page layout changes. |
| Reference images and videos you add | Memory only (side panel and the Flow tab) | To attach them to your prompts in Flow. They are not written to storage and are gone when you clear them or close the panel. |
| Run logs | Memory only (side panel) | To show progress and errors in the Logs tab. You can copy them yourself if you want to send them to support. |
| Your Pro license key (if you add one), its activation ID and the date it was last checked | chrome.storage.local | So Pro stays unlocked without asking for the key again. |
| How many prompts you started today (Free plan) | chrome.storage.local | To apply the Free plan's daily limit. It is a number and a date only. |
| Downloaded videos and images | Your Downloads folder | These are your own Flow outputs, saved by Chrome's download manager. |
2. Information sent over the network
The extension does not send your prompts, images, files or browsing data to us or to any third party. It only connects to these addresses:
- flow.google.com and labs.google: the Google Flow pages where the extension runs. When you press Start, it enters your prompts, selects your options and attaches your reference images in Flow on your behalf, exactly as if you had done it yourself. Flow then sends them to Google to generate your videos and images.
- *.googleusercontent.com and storage.googleapis.com: Google's storage domains, where Flow keeps your generated files. The extension fetches files from here only to download your own outputs, or to reuse one of your own images in a follow-up prompt.
- live.dodopayments.com: only if you enter a Pro license key. The extension sends the key and a device label (for example "AutoPrompt Flow (macOS)") to Dodo Payments, our payment provider, to activate the key, to re-check it about once a day, and to release it when you remove it. Nothing else is sent.
Whatever you submit in Google Flow is handled by Google under Google's own terms and privacy policy, just as when you use Flow without the extension. We have no access to your Google account, your Flow projects or your credits.
3. Why the extension asks for each permission
| Permission | How it is used |
|---|---|
storage | Saves your settings, prompts and synced names locally, as described above. |
sidePanel | Shows the extension's controls in Chrome's side panel. |
tabs, activeTab | Finds and talks to your open Flow tab, opens or reloads Flow when you ask, opens Chrome's download settings page, and zooms the Flow tab out during a run if that option is on. |
downloads | Saves your generated videos and images into the folder you chose and gives them the file names you set up. As a download starts, Chrome shows the extension its file name and address so it can decide whether to rename it. Only video and image files coming from Google are renamed; other downloads are left alone, and nothing about any download is saved or sent anywhere. |
debugger | Attached only to the Google Flow tab during a run, to send mouse clicks, key presses and typed text into the Flow page, because parts of Flow only respond to real (trusted) input. While attached, it also turns off the browser cache for that tab so Flow shows fresh results. It is never attached to any other tab, and it is not used to read page contents, network traffic, cookies or passwords. Chrome shows a "started debugging this browser" bar while it is active. |
Host access to flow.google.com, labs.google, *.googleusercontent.com, storage.googleapis.com | Runs the automation on Flow pages and downloads your outputs from Google's storage. |
Host access to live.dodopayments.com | Activates and re-checks your Pro license key with our payment provider. The extension has no access to any other website. |
4. What we don't do
- We don't use analytics, tracking pixels, advertising or crash-reporting services.
- We don't ask you to create an account, and the extension never asks for your name, email address or payment details. If you buy Pro, you pay on a checkout page run by Dodo Payments, which handles your payment details under its own privacy policy and sends you your license key.
- We don't sell, rent, share or transfer your data to anyone, and we don't use it for advertising, credit-worthiness or lending purposes.
- We don't look at your browsing history or at any website other than Google Flow.
- We don't load or run remote code. Everything the extension runs is included in the package published on the Chrome Web Store.
The use of information received by the extension adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
5. Your choices and deleting your data
- Clear the prompt box or remove images in the side panel at any time.
- Removing the extension from Chrome deletes everything it stored in
chrome.storage.local. - Downloaded files are ordinary files on your computer; you can move or delete them like any other file.
Because we don't hold any of your data on our side, there is nothing for us to export or delete. If you email us, we use your message only to reply to you.
6. Children
The extension is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone. Use of Google Flow is subject to Google's own age requirements.
7. Security
Your data never leaves your device through the extension, other than what you submit to Google Flow yourself and, if you use Pro, your license key. Connections to Google use HTTPS. Keeping your computer and Google account secure is still important, because anyone with access to your Chrome profile can see the extension's saved settings.
8. This website
autopromptflow.com is a static website. It uses no cookies, no analytics and no third-party scripts. If you close the lifetime offer bar, that choice is remembered in your own browser's local storage. The Buy buttons take you to a checkout page run by Dodo Payments. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and the page requested) for security and reliability; we don't use them to identify you.
9. Changes to this policy
If the extension's data practices change, we will update this page and the effective date above before the change ships.
